  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the white cake mix box.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.

  3. Prepare the white cake mix according to the package instructions, adding the required eggs, oil, and water.

  4. In another saucepan, mix together the evaporated milk, 1 cup sugar, 3 egg yolks, and ½ cup butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  5. Remove the mixture from heat and stir in 1 tsp vanilla, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans.

  6. In a greased cake pan, pour half of the prepared cake batter. Then, spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter.

  7. Pour the remaining cake batter on top of the cream cheese layer.

  8. Finally, pour the coconut and pecan mixture over the top of the cake batter.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for the time specified on the cake mix box or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  10. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
