Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Add ground beef, onion, and salt. Cook, stirring, until beef is browned and onions are soft (8–10 minutes).
Drain excess fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce; cook 2 minutes until absorbed.
Spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick spray. Transfer beef mixture to plate.
In a bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter. Add flour and baking powder; whisk until just smooth.
Pour batter evenly over beef mixture in pie plate.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar over top.
Bake for 25 minutes, until top is browned and center is set.
Let cool briefly. Slice and serve with pickles, ketchup, and/or burger sauce.
