Grandma's Chocolate Cream Pie
  1. In saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt

  2. Gradually stir in milk

  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly

  4. Cook until thickened (around 5 minutes), stirring constantly to prevent burning

  5. Remove from heat

  6. Add butter and vanilla

  7. Mix in dark chocolate chips

  8. Pour into pastry shell

  9. Refrigerate until cooled

  10. Whip 2 cups heavy cream until thickened

  11. Add ¾ cup powdered sugar to whipped cream

  12. Top cooled pie with whipped cream and chocolate shreds

  13. Serve
