Easy, Bake The Same Day, Sourdough Dinner Rolls
  1. Put the water, honey, milk, and butter in a microwave bowl. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute or until the butter and honey are melted and easy to mix in.

  2. Once it is warm and combined, add it into your mixing bowl.

  3. Add in your sourdough starter and mix in.

  4. Once combined you can add in the flour and yeast. Mix to combine then add in the salt.

  5. Knead for 3-4 minutes.

  6. Transfer the dough to an oiled clean bowl, cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes until it’s about doubled in size.

  7. Prep your 9x13 baking pan by oiling or spreading butter on the bottom and sides.

  8. Divide the dough into 15, 2.5 ounce balls. Or make them smaller if you’d like to have smaller rolls.

  9. Shape the rolls and fill the pan. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until they’ve doubled in size.

  10. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees while the rolls are rising.

  11. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.

  12. As soon as you take the rolls out of the oven, rub or brush butter over the top.

  13. Serve warm! If you’re saving them for the next day, let them cool completely then cover the pan with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container.
