Heat milk and vanilla in a pot over a medium heat.
In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and cornflour until smooth.
Add the caster sugar and whisk until light and fluffy.
Add a splash of the milk to the mixture, whisk until incorporated.
While whisking continuously, pour in the remaining milk and whisk until combined.
Pour the custard mixture into a clean pot over medium-low heat.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
Pour into a bowl and set aside.
Combine the red berries in a bowl with orange liquor and a teaspoon of icing sugar.
In a bowl, whisk creme fraiche, icing sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks.
Place the berries into a serving bowl, drizzle with custard and top with whisked cream fraiche.
Serve.
