Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and plug in your waffle iron. I turned my dial so it was just below the max setting.
Then, add the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger to a bowl and mix well with a whisk.
Then, add in the milk, vanilla extract and orange extract and mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and oil well together.
Add the egg and oil mixture to the Waffle batter.
Add in the carrots, walnuts and raisins and mix well.
Add 4-5 tablespoons (or however much our waffle iron allows) and let cook till done.
When waffles are done, I like to place them in the preheated oven for no more than 10 minutes or so, so they get a bit more crispier.
Warm the milk so it's slightly warm, then mix in the cream cheese and confectioners sugar.
Add in a splash each of the vanilla extract and the orange extract.
If lumpy, pass through a strainer and then drizzle on to the Carrot Cake Waffles and enjoy.
