Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets.
Combine flaxseed and water, let sit 5 minutes.
Beat butter and sugars until fluffy.
Add flax eggs and vanilla.
Mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon; stir in.
Add oats, pecans, and maple syrup.
Scoop dough and place on sheets.
Bake 11–13 minutes.
Cool on rack.
