Blanket Dumplings
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken or turkey with the finely chopped green onions, soy sauce, grated ginger, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, cornstarch, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. Shape the mixture into small balls.

  3. Take a dumpling wrapper and place it over each ball of filling.

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  5. Add the water to the skillet and cover it with a lid to allow the dumplings to steam.

  6. Cook until the dumplings are tender and cooked through, which should take about 10-15 minutes.
