  1. Make the paste by combining ⅓ cup milk, ½ cup hot tap water, and ⅓ cup bread flour

  2. Mix prepared paste with 3 tsp instant yeast, ⅔ cup warmed whole milk, ½ cup sugar, 3 tbsp melted butter, 1 egg, 1 tsp salt, and 3 ⅔ cups bread flour to form dough

  3. Prepare cinnamon filling by mixing 1 cup packed light brown sugar, 2 tbsp cinnamon, and 8 tbsp softened butter

  4. Roll out dough and spread cinnamon filling evenly

  5. Roll up dough and cut into rolls

  6. Place rolls in baking pan and pour ½ cup heavy whipping cream over risen rolls

  7. Bake at 375 degrees F for 18-20 minutes (18 minutes for gooier rolls, 20 minutes for less gooey)

  8. Make icing by combining ⅓ cup softened salted butter, 6 tbsp softened cream cheese, 2 cups powdered sugar, and ½ tbsp vanilla

  9. Spread icing over cooled cinnamon rolls
