Sallie's Raisin Pudding
  1. Pour 2 cups boiling water over 1 cup brown sugar & add 2 Tbsps butter.

  2. While it sets, mix in casserole: Cream 1 Tbsp butter with ½ c sugar. Add ½ cup milk, sift in 1 cup flour, ½ tsp [baking] soda, ½ tsp nutmeg, ¼ t[sp] salt. Stir in ½ c raisins & ½ c nuts, 1 tsp vanilla.

  3. Pour sugar water over it (Do not stir).

  4. Bake at 375° for 30 min.

  5. Cocoanut may be added if desired.
