Easy Zong Zi // Sticky Rice Dumplings
  1. Soak the sticky rice overnight, or for at least 6 hours.

  2. Soak the bamboo leaves overnight, or for at least 3 hours, until pliable.

  3. After soaking, rinse each leaf thoroughly on both sides and keep them submerged in water until ready to use.

  4. In a bowl, combine the pork belly with the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, salt, sugar, white pepper, and chicken bouillon powder.

  5. Mix well and marinate in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours.

  6. While the pork is marinating, soak the peanuts in water for 1 hour.

  7. Drain before using.

  8. Drain the soaked rice and transfer it to a large bowl.

  9. Add the peanuts, lap cheong, green onions, remaining 1 tbsp light soy sauce, and 1 tsp salt.

  10. Mix until evenly combined.
