Oatmeal Waffles
  1. Start with preparing and measuring all the ingredients. I like to use measuring cups.

  2. Take the blender and add all ingredients. Note: add wet ingredients first for easier blending.

  3. Mix everything at high speed until you get a smooth texture.

  4. Taste the batter and add additional sweetener if you think the mixture is not sweet enough.

  5. Let the batter rest for a few minutes.

  6. Turn on the waffle maker and let it heat until it's hot (the green light must be on).

  7. Coat waffle plates with cooking spray or melted coconut oil using the brush.

  8. Pour the batter onto the hot waffle plates, close the lid and allow the waffles to cook. Depending on your waffle maker it will take between 8-10 minutes per batch.

  9. Once baked, remove waffles from the waffle maker and place them on a cooling rack. Fresh baked waffles will be soft when you take them out of the waffle maker but they will harden as they cool on the rack.

  10. Repeating the process with the rest of the batter. Make sure to grease the waffle plates before adding the batter to prevent sticking.

  11. Transfer cooled waffles to a plate.

  12. Add toppings (optional): I used banana, blueberries, and maple syrup. Be creative here and add toppings you like.

  13. Serve and enjoy!
