Black Bean Patty Melt
  1. Add your peppers, onions and mushrooms to a food processor. Pulse until all is roughly chopped and around the same size.

  2. Sauté this mixture in a pan over medium heat until most of the moisture has cooked out (optionally sprinkle salt to draw out more water). Remove from pan and set aside.

  3. Then in a large bowl add the black beans, cooked veggies, chickpea flour, ketchup and spices then mash to form the patty mix and it holds shape. Mix until all combined and mixture forms patty.

  4. Lay down a layer of thinly sliced onions and pan fry until crispy and cooked through. Melt cheese over top by adding a bit of water to steam and cover until melted.

  5. Make a burger sauce by combining: Mayo, ketchup, soy sauce/worsceschire sauce, and spices.

  6. Stack patties and quickly toast on a reversed burger bun with pickle and other toppings
