Rice Cooker Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli
  1. If you have teriyaki sauce already, skip this step and step 2. If not, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch in a saucepan.

  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat.

  3. Wash your rice and add the usual amount of water for cooking (this is 1:1 for me). Place the chicken over the rice and pour ½ of the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.

  4. Add broccoli on top of the chicken and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Cook the rice (I used just the standard white rice setting). When done, pour over the remaining teriyaki sauce onto the chicken. Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and green onions.
