Bake Soft Pretzels
  1. Heat milk in the microwave for 1-2 minutes just till warm.

  2. In a large mixing bowl add the warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let bloom for 5 minutes.

  3. Add butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture mixing with a wooden spoon untill dough comes together.

  4. Lightly flour work area and knead the dough for couple of minutes. Dough is no longer sticky it should be smooth.

  5. Lightly oil; cover the dough and allow to rise for 1 hour.

  6. Punch dough, cut pretzel dough into 6-8 portions. Form each portion of dough into a long skinny rope.

  7. Shape the dough into a pretzel.

  8. Prepare a baking soda bath by adding baking soda and warm water to a bowl then dip each pretzel into water for a few seconds. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  9. Brush each pretzel with egg wash, sprinkle with coarse salt or a cinnamon sugar mixture.

  10. Bake pretzels at 450°F for 12-15 minutes.

  11. Let cool slightly.

  12. Pretzels are delicious dipped in Cheese, mustard, or eat plain

  13. Let the pretzels cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
