Preheat oven to 350º F.
Pour the apple pie filling into a 13x9 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.
Next mix together the cinnamon and cake mix and sprinkle evenly over the apple filling. I like to cut off the edge of the cake mix bag, pour in the cinnamon and then shake and use a fork to mix it together in the bag.
If you are using nuts, sprinkle the nuts evenly over the cake mix.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top, trying to evenly cover the cake mix as much as possible.
Bake for 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cook for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Serve topped with ice cream and caramel sauce
