Pulled Ham In The Slow Cooker With Parsley Sauce
  1. Add ham or gammon to slow cooker with 750ml chicken or vegetable stock

  2. Cook on high for 2 hours

  3. Reserve some stock to cook turnip if using

  4. Add cabbage to slow cooker

  5. Cook for another 2 hours

  6. For the parsley sauce: simmer onion, peppercorns, and bay leaves in 400ml whole milk until onions are soft

  7. Strain the infused milk

  8. Melt butter and mix with 2 heaped tablespoons plain flour

  9. Add strained infused milk to butter and flour mixture

  10. Add pinch of nutmeg and ½ cup finely chopped parsley

  11. Add more milk if sauce is too thick

  12. Serve pulled ham with cabbage and parsley sauce
