  1. Mix thoroughly the shortening, brown sugar and molasses.

  2. Stir in the water.

  3. Sift the remaining ingredients together and stir in.

  4. Chill, then roll out ½" thick on floured board.

  5. Cut, and place on lightly greased pan.

  6. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
