Divide Chex cereal into two bowls of 2½ cups each.
Melt white almond bark with shortening in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth.
Pour melted chocolate over the first bowl and mix to coat.
Melt red candy melts and coat the second bowl of cereal.
In two bags, combine ¼ cup strawberry cake mix and ¼ cup powdered sugar each. Shake each bowl of cereal in a separate bag to coat.
Mix both batches together and fold in Valentine M&M’s.
