Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat
Add minced shallots and garlic, sauté until fragrant
Stir in miso paste and red pepper flakes to preference
Add drained and rinsed chickpeas to the pan
Pour in heavy cream and chicken bone broth or vegetable broth
Stir in nutritional yeast until well combined
Add lemon zest and lemon juice
Season with fresh cracked pepper and salt to taste
Simmer until creamy, adding additional broth if needed
Garnish with fresh parsley and basil before serving
