In the pot place the tomato, bacon, onions, garlic flakes, mushrooms and mince. Allow to simmer.
When the mince is cooked add the tomato puree and ¾ cup water. Allow to simmer a little longer.
Add the cottage cheese, salt and pepper and chutney.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Make the cheese sauce by putting 2 cups of milk in the microwave for about 5 minutes. Add 3 wooden spoons cornflour in a cup with cold water. Once the milk is warm stir in the cornflour. Keep heating in the microwave until sauce thickens. Grate some cheese and add to the sauce while heating.
In a large dish layer the mince, noodles and cheese sauce.
Top with cheese and garlic salt and bake for 20 minutes or until noodles are soft.
