Combine minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, liquid seasoning, oyster sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and sugar in a bowl
Mix well to create the marinade
Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly
Use ⅔ marinade and dusting of corn flour on steak and let it sit at least 30 minutes.
Cook the steak using a shaking motion in a hot pan or wok
Remove when medium rare
Into same pan add butter and one large red onion cut in chunks that you separate into petals. Add remaining 3rd of marinade and saute until onions are crisp butt cooked.
Return beef to pan just to bring together.
Serve on a platter that has wedges or slices of tomato and slices of cucumber.
Serve with plenty of rice.
