25-minutes Crispy Beef Tacos
  1. Prep: Bring 500g (1 lb) regular ground beef (20% fat) to room temperature. Mince 1 tbsp fresh garlic and ½ hot chili pepper together; set aside. Chop 1 medium onion and 1 large bell pepper (any color) together; set aside. Dissolve 4g (0.20 oz) beef bouillon cube into 120 ml (½ cup) hot water to make your broth; set aside. Mix your preferred Burger Sauce or Pink Sauce (recipe on website - link in bio) in a small bowl and place it in the fridge to chill.

  2. Cook the Beef: Heat a drizzle of olive oil or neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, spreading it into an even layer. Let it cook undisturbed until a deep brown crust forms, then break it apart and finish cooking. Toss in the chopped onions and bell pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes until the vegetables soften. Stir in the minced garlic and chili pepper, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant. Push the meat mixture to the sides of the pan, clearing a circle in the centre. Add 2 tbsp double-concentrate tomato paste to the clearing. Stir and fry the paste continuously for 2 minutes until it darkens and turns fragrant, then mix it into the beef. Stir in 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp dried basil, ½ tsp fine salt, and ½ tsp ground black pepper. Pour in the prepared beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid has mostly evaporated, leaving the meat rich and glossy. Transfer the beef mixture to a clean bowl.

  3. Assemble & Fry: Wipe the skillet clean and heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Place a tortilla flat in the pan. Immediately scatter a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese and a generous scoop of the beef mixture over the entire surface. Fry until the bottom of the tortilla is golden-brown and crispy, and the cheese is fully melted. Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling, then transfer it to a wire rack to maintain its crispness while you repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and beef.

  4. Serve: Serve hot alongside your chilled burger sauce or pink sauce. Enjoy!
