Turn on oven GM5
Slice potatoes thinly and set to the side.
Peel carrots.
Finely chop carrots celery onion, pepper and mushroom. Keep mushroom separate.
Fry veg (except mushroom) until soft, then add mushroom. Brown if you can.
Add mince and defrost.
Add tin of chopped tomatoes, peas and flavourings (stock or alternative) add water if necessary.
Pour into a roasting dish and cover bottom.
Lay a layer of sliced potatoes across the top of the mince mixture. Try and overlap them a bit like fish scales.
Dot the potatoes with butter enough to melt and stop from burning.
Sprinkle with salt pepper and herbs.
Put in the oven for 1h30mins check after 30mins see if burning. Add more butter if not coated. Turn up to GM6 if not cooking.
