Classic French Beef Stew With Potatoes & Carrots
  1. Preheat Oven 325 degrees

  2. Cut Roast and season heavily with S&P

  3. Dutch Oven, Medium Heat, add Tallow or Oil, Brown Beef in batches, set aside

  4. Add Onions, Garlic, Balsamic Vinegar

  5. Cook about 5 min and scrap up bottom

  6. Add Beef and juices, cover in flour

  7. Bring together for a few minutes

  8. Add Broth, Water, Wine, Bay Leaf, Thyme, Sugar

  9. Stir well, scrape up bottom bits w wooden spoon

  10. Bring to a Boil, Cover, move to Oven, 2 hours

  11. Add Potatoes & Carrots, 1.5 more hours

  12. It's ready, taste it! Add seasoning as you wish

  13. We cooled for 2 hours, put in fridge to next day

  14. Reheat on stove or 250 oven

  15. Enjoy with a Baguette and Butter!
