Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C and line a baking pan with parchment.
Melt the butter in a pan and brown it. Mix the cocoa powder and salt in a bowl and pour the melted butter into the bowl. Stir and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, eggs, and egg yolk until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the cocoa mixture to the egg mixture and stir until thickened. Fold in the brown sugar and flour.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with chocolate chunks or chips.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the brownies are set.
Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.
