Edible Lace Recipe
  1. Add boiling water to the CMC powder.

  2. The mixture will look lumpy. That is normal! Cover and rest for an hour and the lumps will disappear.

  3. Add the cornstarch, icing sugar and corn/glucose syrup and combine well.

  4. Spread evenly and thinly over a lace mat.

  5. Let it dry at room temperature for several hours or in the oven at 70C/170F for 15 minutes.

  6. After it has dried, peel and ready to use.
