Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
Cut bread into quarters and gently press them into each muffin cup.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cups and press down lightly.
Bake for 22-25 minutes, rotating halfway through for even browning.
Cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin and serve warm.
