  1. In a saucepan, brown the butter, cooking until it reaches an amber color and develops a nutty aroma

  2. Reduce the heat and immediately stir in the brown sugar and cocoa powder until well combined

  3. Add 1 cup of water and bring the mixture to a simmer for about 15 minutes

  4. Remove from the heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and salt

  5. Allow the syrup to cool completely before storing

  6. For the cold foam, combine 3 tbsp heavy cream, 2 tbsp milk of choice, and 1 tbsp brown butter chocolate chip syrup

  7. Use 2-3 tbsp of syrup for latte.
