In a saucepan, brown the butter, cooking until it reaches an amber color and develops a nutty aroma
Reduce the heat and immediately stir in the brown sugar and cocoa powder until well combined
Add 1 cup of water and bring the mixture to a simmer for about 15 minutes
Remove from the heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and salt
Allow the syrup to cool completely before storing
For the cold foam, combine 3 tbsp heavy cream, 2 tbsp milk of choice, and 1 tbsp brown butter chocolate chip syrup
Use 2-3 tbsp of syrup for latte.
