Lemmer-Webber Vegetable Gruel
  1. Add besan and oats to saucepan.

  2. Add a lot of water, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Cook for about 15-30 minutes, until thickened.

  4. Saute/braise cabbage and carrots in spices, olive oil, and salt.

  5. Pour gruel into bowls.

  6. Add cheese if desired.

  7. Top with vegetables.
