Homemade Solid Bar Of Soap
  1. Start by combining the wood ash with two cups of water and let it sit for approximately six hours.

  2. After a few hours, you will notice the mixture starting to separate. Use cheesecloth to strain the top layer into a pot, ensuring that the fine particles are left behind.

  3. Boil the strained liquid until it reduces to about half its original volume, or slightly less, until it takes on a yellowish color and thickens.

  4. Incorporate a tablespoon of milk, a tablespoon of butter, and two tablespoons of oil into the mixture, then mix and heat it up.

  5. Gradually pour in the yellow ash liquid while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.

  6. Grate some orange or lemon zest and add it to the mixture.

  7. Finally, pour the soap mixture into a silicone mold and allow it to sit until it solidifies.
