Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast Bake
  1. Generously butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Scatter half of your bread cubes evenly in the bottom of the dish.

  3. Distribute cold cream cheese cubes and sliced strawberries over the first bread layer.

  4. Add the remaining bread cubes over the cheese and berries.

  5. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until uniform and slightly frothy, then whisk in the milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.

  6. Pour the custard mixture over the entire bread assembly, pressing down on the top bread layer.

  7. Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes.

  9. Let the bake rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
