Better Than Takeaway Fried Noodles
  1. Boil thin noodles and set aside

  2. Stir-fry mixed vegetables in hot oil with 1 crushed garlic clove until crisp-tender

  3. Add chicken or prawns if desired (optional)

  4. Toss in the cooked noodles

  5. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, and 1 tbsp sesame oil, plus a pinch of sugar and a splash of water

  6. Stir-fry on high heat until glossy and caramelised

  7. Finish with spring onions and lots of black pepper
