How To Cook Rice
  1. Place water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Rinse rice under cold water (optional).

  3. Add a pinch of salt and rice to boiling water. Cover and reduce heat to a low.

  4. Cook 18 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes (no peeking).

  6. Fluff with a fork and serve.
