Subway Style Sandwich Bread Recipe
  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, yeast & salt.

  2. In another bowl, mix oil, melted butter, milk & honey.

  3. Add dry to wet and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Knead by hand for 10 mins or in a mixer until smooth, elastic & no longer sticking to bowl.

  5. Cover with a damp towel & let rise 1–1.5 hrs or until doubled.

  6. Punch down dough, transfer to floured surface.

  7. Divide into 5 equal pieces (~200g each).

  8. Flatten each into a circle, roll into a log & seal edges.

  9. Roll logs to 8” length & place seam-side down on lined tray.

  10. Brush with milk & sprinkle parmesan, herbs or seeds.

  11. Score tops with a sharp knife.

  12. Cover with a cloth and let proof again for 30 mins until puffy.

  13. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 10–15 mins until golden.

  14. Let cool slightly & enjoy!
