Wash and score each cherry tomato so it has a + shape at the top
Pour boiling water over tomatoes until completely submerged, let it sit for 5 minutes
Peel the tomatoes, set aside
Wash and dry the basil leaves, and cut into ½ inch pieces
In a bowl, mix sugar and peeled cherry tomatoes. Then mix in the basil
Transfer to a clean glass jar or container with an airtight lid, and leave in room temperature overnight.
Store refrigerated. Enjoy as a drink with 2-3 Tbsp of tomato basil cheong (syrup), ice, and a tall glass of sparkling water
