In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla, mix until well combined.
Sift in flour, baking powder, salt, and almond flour. Mix to form a dough.
Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar.
Add egg yolk and almond extract. Mix well.
Fold in the almond flour. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Scoop chilled dough and flatten slightly.
Spoon a tablespoon of almond paste, place it in the center and seal the cookie dough
Top with sliced almonds
Bake for 12–14 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar.
