Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, brown the chicken over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
In a large bowl, combine the browned chicken, cranberries, pecans, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, white wine (if using), thyme, salt, and pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
