Cheesy French Onion Beef And Rice Casserole
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often, until caramelized. Remove and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, cook ground beef until browned, about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  4. Stir in French onion soup, sour cream, garlic powder, pepper, and caramelized onions. Mix well.

  5. Add cooked rice and stir until everything is combined.

  6. Pour mixture into the baking dish. Top evenly with mozzarella and Swiss cheese.

  7. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

  8. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.
