Preheat oven to 425°F. Place pie shell on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and cloves.
In a large bowl, beat eggs. Stir in pumpkin and spice mixture.
Gradually stir in evaporated milk until fully combined.
Pour filling into pie shell.
Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. Then reduce to 350°F and bake for 40–50 minutes.
