Beat sugar, butter and cream cheese together in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment
Add eggs and both extracts, scrape down the bowl and beat until combined
With the mixer running, gradually add the flour, adding the baking powder and salt halfway through, until a dough forms. You can add more flour if the dough is still too sticky to work with
Roll out dough and cut into preferred shapes
Freeze cookies for 20 minutes
Bake cookies at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are just barely golden. Let cool completely before decorating
