  1. Cut the butter into small cubes.

  2. Place the butter cubes, flour, and salt into a food processor.

  3. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the dough and pulse a couple times.

  5. Continue adding 1 tablespoon of water at a time until the dough begins to form a ball.

  6. Transfer the dough to the counter and form into a ball.

  7. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at 30 minutes before using.

  8. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a large circle about ⅛-inch thick.

  9. Line a 9-inch pie pan with the crust. Cut away any excess dough from the edges.

  10. Fill with pie filling and bake according to the recipe.
