Lebanese Pink Pickles
  1. Pack the turnips and beet slices tightly into a clean jar. Add the garlic.

  2. In a saucepan, heat the water, vinegar, salt, and sugar until dissolved. Let it cool slightly.

  3. Pour the brine over the vegetables, making sure everything is fully submerged.

  4. Seal the jar and leave at room temperature for 24 hours, then refrigerate.

  5. Ready to eat in 2 days!
