Add the broth/water and the pasta to a pot over high heat and bring it to a boil for about 15 minutes, stirring often so the pasta doesn't stick to the pot
Don't drain the remaining pasta water!! We need it to help make our creamy sauce. Turn heat down to low and add in the heavy cream and cheese. Stir to combine until the cheese is melty
Taste test then add any salt and pepper to taste! I find if I add salt when I use chicken broth it gets a bit too salty, so definitely taste and season at the end!
