Homemade Walnut Butter
  1. Place walnuts in the food processor and start to grind.

  2. Scrape down the sides as necessary with a rubber spatula.

  3. Continue grinding until the walnuts release their oils and turn into a thick and creamy spreadable butter (approximately 5 minutes).

  4. Store in an air tight container or a mason jar. Refrigeration isn't necessary.

  5. Serve on toast, apple slices or pancakes.

  6. If desired, add 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil for creaminess or 1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup for sweetness.
