Pasty Ingredients
Take the Lard and Margarine out fridge and cut into small cubes.
Leave the Lard and Margarine on the side for around 1 hour allowing it to warm up to room temperature.
Add the Flour to a mixing bowl. Then add the Lard and Margarine to the mixture.
Mix until the ingredients have combined into a bread crumb texture.
Add cold water to the mixture in small amounts and using your hands combine the ingredients until the pastry comes together into a ball.
Cut the ball of pastry into 8 even amounts.
On a heavily floured surface roll out the pasty into a circle (1-2cm thick) and as wide as a dinner plate.
Place the plate on top of the pastry and use a sharp knife to cut around the plate into a circle.
