Easy Peppercorn Sauce Without Brandy
  1. Begin by finely dicing the garlic and onion

  2. Then, to a pan add in the butter and melt (if you have cooked steak or chicken for the meal, you can use that pan, no need to rinse the meat juices will add flavour)

  3. Add in the diced garlic and onion into the pan of melted butter and cook on medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring often, until they begin to brown

  4. Then add in the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce - stir

  5. And finally, add in the cream, pepper and bay leaf, stir and reduce the heat to low

  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes further, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking, stir it frequently and be patient as it will thicken up with time

  7. Taste, add salt as required - then serve!
