  1. In a medium saucepan, add water, brown sugar, apple peels and cores. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Add cloves and simmer 15 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat, add cinnamon sticks, and let steep 15 minutes.

  3. Strain into glasses and discard solids. Serve warm or chill.
