Salt & pepper fried enoki
  1. Thoroughly mix all the dry ingredients for the mushrooms in a bowl to make the coating & pour your plant milk into a separate bowl

  2. Dip each mushroom into the plant milk then transfer to the flour mixture to coat- repeat this step twice for each mushroom to achieve an extra crispy coating

  3. Deep fry for about 6 minutes until golden brown & crispy then set aside on kitchen towel to drain any excess oil

  4. Add the onion, spring onion, chilli & garlic to a frying pan & sauté until beginning to soften but still retaining some texture then set aside

  5. Mix the five spice, white pepper, sugar, salt & msg in a dish to make the seasoning

  6. Add the enoki to a bowl, sprinkle over the seasoning mix & toss to coat. Then add the veg mix & toss again until evenly combined & serve up!
