Cider Ham
  1. Place the Ham in a saucepan with 750 mls of the cider (Keep 250 mls or half a can for the glaze), Apple, cinnamon, garlic Cloves and Black-pepper.

  2. Bring to the Boil and simmer on a low heat for approx 80 mins or so

  3. Check if it's cooked through by piercing with a knife or a skewer

  4. Remove from saucepan, remove the top hard layer of fat. This will be different on every piece so it really depends what piece You buy.

  5. Score crosses into the fat and apply the glaze.

  6. Bake in oven at 190 C for approx 20 mins or until the top is crispy and golden. Baste half way through

  7. Add more glaze to serve.

  8. To make the glaze: Add 250mls of cider and 100g brown sugar to a saucepan. Bring to the boil and keep at a medium/high heat until the liquid begins to reduce. You should be left with a thick syrupy glaze to apply to the Ham. (Leftovers will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for a few days)
